TRAFFIC UNIT
The Seneca Police Department currently has one officer, that is normally assigned to Uniform Patrol duties, that also participates in the Traffic Safety programs such as the Law Enforcement Network (LEN) Traffic and the Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) programs. Road Patrol officers also enforce traffic violations and proactively engage in traffic enforcement as their secondary function; their primary focus being responding to calls for service.
All officers are responsible for enforcing all SC state traffic laws as well as city ordinances pertaining to motor vehicles. These officers also participate in DUI, Seatbelt and child restraint enforcement within the city and along with other agencies cooperating as a Task Force.
The officer assigned to the Traffic Specialist Unit is also available to give Traffic Safety presentations to students and community groups. For further information please contact Captain Robert Tribble at 864-885-2718 or rtribble@senecapd.com.
